We built the heaven with might, and We widely extended it. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. 49 Therefore flee unto God! I am a clear warner from Him to you. 50 And set not up with God another god; I am a clear warner from Him to you. 51 Likewise, there came not an apostle unto those before them but they said: a magician or a madman! 52 Have they handed this down to one another? They are certainly a people who exceed all bounds, 53 So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. 54 But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and mankind but that they should worship Me. 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Verily Allah! He is the Provider, Owner of power, Firm. 58 So surely those who are unjust shall have a portion like the portion of their companions, therefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. 59 And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. 60

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
