And heaven – We made it with Our Own Power and We have the Power to do so. 47 And the earth – We spread it out, and how well have We smoothed it! 48 And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allah). 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: 'Sorcerer, or mad' 52 Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk. 53 So turn thou from them; thou wilt not be reproached. 54 And advise, for advice benefits the Muslims. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 [But withal,] no sustenance do I ever demand of them, nor do I demand that they feed Me: 57 Surely, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of Power, the Mighty. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 For, woe unto those who are bent on denying the truth - [woe] on the Day which they have been promised 60
