(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
