(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
