Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
