And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 There shall come a Day when they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire and will be told: “Now taste the flame of Hell.” 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
