The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 He has created man: 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
