Kingship (Al-Mulk)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Most Auspicious is He in Whose control is the entire kingship; and He is Able to do all things. 1 He created death and life so that He might test you, and find out which of you is best in conduct. He is the Mighty, the Most Forgiving One. 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued. 4 And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made such lamps (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin (devils), and have prepared for them the torment of the blazing Fire. 5 For those who believe not in their Lord there is the punishment of Hell; and what a wretched destination 6 When they are cast into it they shall hear it sighing, while it boils 7 Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" 8 They say, 'Yes indeed, a warner came to us; but we cried lies, saying, "God has not sent down anything; you are only in great error. 9 And they will then say: 'If only we had listened and understood we should not now be among the inhabitants of the Blaze' 10 They will confess to their sins, but the dwellers of hell will be far away from God's (mercy). 11 (As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have forgiveness and a great reward. 12 And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts. 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14
