Lo! for those who keep from evil are gardens of bliss with their Lord. 34 Shall We then treat the People of Faith like the People of Sin? 35 What aileth you? How foolishly ye judge! 36 Or have you a Book in which you read 37 That you have surely therein what you choose? 38 Or have ye Covenants with Us to oath, reaching to the Day of Judgment, (providing) that ye shall have whatever ye shall demand? 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or have they, perchance, any sages to support their views? Well, then, if they are sincere in this their claim, let them produce those supporters of theirs 41 On the day when there shall be a severe affliction, and they shall be called upon to make obeisance, but they shall not be able, 42 Their looks cast down, abasement shall overtake them; and they were called upon to make obeisance indeed while yet they were safe. 43 Therefore leave the one who denies this matter, to Me; We shall soon steadily take them away, from a place they do not know. 44 Yet I bear with them, for lo! My scheme is firm. 45 (Muhammad), do you ask for your preaching any recompense which is too heavy a price for them to pay? 46 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 47 Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed. 48 Had his Lord's grace not been bestowed upon him, he would have been cast away in disgrace upon that desolate shore. 49 but [as it was,] his Sustainer had elected him and placed him among the righteous. 50 But the unbelievers would like to stare you out of balance when they hear the warning, and say: "Surely he is possessed;" 51 But it is not except a reminder to the worlds. 52
