Those who are mindful of their Lord will be rewarded with gardens of bliss. 34 What! shall We then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty? 35 What is the matter with you then, how do you judge? 36 Or have ye a book through which ye learn- 37 and in which you find all that you may wish to find? 38 Or have ye oaths from Us reaching to the Day of Resurrection, that you shall be that which ye judge? 39 Ask thou of them, which of them will stand surety for that! 40 Or, do they have associates? Then let them bring their associates, if what they say is true! 41 On the day when the terrible torment approaches, they will be told (in a mocking way) to prostrate themselves, but they will not be able to do it. 42 Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). 43 Then leave Me Alone with such as belie this Quran. We shall punish them gradually from directions they perceive not. 44 And I will give them respite; indeed My plan is very solid. 45 Do you ask for any compensation from them that they are burdened with want? 46 Or have they (the knowledge of) the unseen, so that they write (it) down? 47 So be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord, and be not as the Man of the Fish, when he called, choking inwardly. 48 Were it not for his Lord’s favour that reached him, he would have surely been cast onto the desolate land, reproached. 49 But his Lord had chosen him, and He placed him among the righteous. 50 And the Unbelievers would almost trip thee up with their eyes when they hear the Message; and they say: "Surely he is possessed!" 51 [Be patient:] for this is nought else but a reminder [from God] to all mankind. 52
