BUT NAY! I call to witness all that you can see, 38 And what ye see not, 39 That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 40 not the speech of a poet. Little do you believe! 41 nor is it the speech of a soothsayer little do you remember. 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, 44 We assuredly had taken him by the right hand 45 and cut-off his main artery. 46 None of you would be able to prevent Us from doing this to him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 We certainly know that some of you have rejected it 49 And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers. 50 And indeed, it is the truth of certainty. 51 So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
