Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
