The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 Is it about the awesome tiding 2 Concerning which they differ. 3 Nay, but in time they will come to understand [it]! 4 Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know! 5 Have We not spread the earth like a bed, 6 And the mountains as projections (thereon)? 7 And it is We who created you in pairs. 8 and We have made your sleep [a symbol of] death 9 and the night as a cover, 10 And made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments, 12 And have appointed a dazzling lamp, 13 and sent down heavy rains from the clouds 14 In order to produce grain and plants with it. 15 And gardens dense and luxuriant. 16 Surely a time is fixed for the Day of Judgement. 17 The day when the Trumpet will be blown you will therefore come forth in multitudes. 18 And the heaven will have been opened, and it will have become doors. 19 And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage. 20 Indeed hell is lying in ambush. 21 The destination of the rebellious. 22 In it shall they remain for a long time. 23 Finding neither sleep nor any thing to drink 24 except boiling water and pus 25 Requital corresponding. 26 Behold, they were not expecting to be called to account, 27 And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial. 28 And We have kept recorded everything in a Book, accounted for. 29 Therefore taste it now We shall not increase anything for you except the punishment. 30

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
