The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
