Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble recorders, 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
