Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
