The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
