The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay, but this [divine writ which they reject] is a discourse sublime, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
