The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
