The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
