The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
