Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created of spurting water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
