The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
