The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By heaven and the night-star! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The piercing star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And no trifle. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
