The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
