Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 in a garden sublime, 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 therein a running fountain, 12 In which are high thrones. 13 well arranged goblets, 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the mountains – how they have been established? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
