The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the Striking? 2 And what will make you comprehend what the terrible calamity is? 3 A Day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered, 4 The mountains like the tufts of carded wool. 5 Those whose good deeds will weigh heavier (on the scale) 6 Will have a tranquil life; 7 whereas he whose weight is light in the balance 8 He is in the lap of one that abases. 9 And what have you understood, what the one that abases is! 10 (It is) a hot blazing Fire! 11
