Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
