Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Abundance diverts you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
