The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In columns outstretched. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
