Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
