Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides Allah), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace). 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 and goblets set forth 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And linen spread out. 16 What, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
