Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. 25 He went quietly to his wife and returned to his guests with a fat, roasted calf. 26 And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. 30 ۞ [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. 33 “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” 34 So We brought forth such believers as were in it, 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom. 37 AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, 38 But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" 39 So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. 40 And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind 41 which spared nothing of what it came upon, but caused [all of] it to become like bones dead and decayed. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 And neither stand up nor defend themselves. 45 So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. 46
