The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 About their deeds. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
