SAY [O Muhammad]: "O men! I am but a plain warner [sent by God] unto you!" 49 And those who have believed and done righteous deeds - for them is forgiveness and noble provision. 50 But those who strive against Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), to frustrate and obstruct them, they will be dwellers of the Hell-fire. 51 Yet whenever We sent forth any apostle or prophet before thee, and he was hoping [that his warnings would be heeded,] Satan would cast an aspersion on his innermost aims: but God renders null and void whatever aspersion Satan may cast; and God makes His messages clear in and by themselves for God is all-knowing, wise. 52 (This He permits) in order that He makes satan's interjections a temptation for those in whose hearts is a sickness and those whose hearts are hardened and the harmdoers are in a wide schism, 53 so that those who are given knowledge may realize that this is the truth from your Lord and thus believe in it, and so that in their hearts they may humbly submit to Him. God will surely guide the faithful to a straight path. 54 Those who deny the truth will continue in doubt until the [Last] Hour suddenly comes upon them or the scourge of the woeful Day descends upon them. 55 The dominion on that Day will be Allah's; He shall judge between them; then those who believed and worked righteous works shall be in the Gardens of Delight. 56 And (as for) those who disbelieve in and reject Our communications, these it is who shall have a disgraceful chastisement. 57
