The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif-Laam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 This is the Book; there is no doubt in it. It is a guide for those who are mindful of God, 2 Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; 3 who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; 4 Such people are on the right way from their Lord and such are truly successful. 5 As for those who deny, it is all the same if you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 Allah has sealed their hearts and their ears, and on their eyes is a covering; and for them is a terrible punishment. 7
