No, by the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except those on the right side. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
