Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
