We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 'There is nothing but our first death; we shall not be revived. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. 37 For [thus it is:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in mere idle play: 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
