Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
