The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and guard their private parts 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
