But they did not listen to me," Noah said, "and followed him whose wealth and children only added to his ruin. 21 And they have plotted a mighty plot, 22 And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwa' or Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr. 23 They have misled many and the unjust will achieve nothing but more error". 24 Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them. 25 And Nuh (Noah) said: "My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers on the earth! 26 Surely, if Thou leavest them, they will lead Thy servants astray, and will beget none but unbelieving libertines. 27 My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house believing, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin. 28
