No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
