The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
