O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 But if the truth were in accord with their own likes and dislikes, the heavens and the earth would surely have fallen into ruin, and all that lives in them [would long ago have perished]! Nay, [in this divine writ] We have conveyed unto them all that they ought to bear in mind: and from this their reminder they [heedlessly] turn away! 71 Or dost thou ask them for tribute? Yet the tribute of thy Lord is better, and He is the best of providers. 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
