The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 has created man, 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
