The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 The mountains made to move, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 The rising dawn, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
