Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
