We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
