The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
